Everytime I go camping/fishing or just load up the bed with things, I always say "I'm glad I didn't get a short bed."

I bought the short bet because i park in parking garage and its tight . I didnt want a fake hood scoop. And finally, if you buy the long bed you might as well buy a full size.

    Ouch!!!it's always about size

X2 if you really use your truck as a Truck you know long beds rule
Chicks dig fake scoops :D why get a full-size and get really killed with gas? Now I wonder how wide a Tacoma is compared to a silverado?

what does it mean to "bottom out"?

it seems for double cabs, that short beds seem more practical more options like off road and manual trans, as well as fitting in parking lots and most standard garages.

long beds seem to look a little more full in my option, seem to fit atvs, lots of stuff while fitting people too and they don't seem THAT hard to park, especially with the newer ones all coming with cameras...

    interesting

I don't find I need the longer bed that often and IMO the shorter bed looks better

Whats the big deal about sleeping in the bed? I've had full sized trucks and camped out, never slept in the bed. Always in a tent or camper. Besides, usually have too much stuff stored in the bed anyway.

DCLB is as big as an F150 length wise if I recall correctly.

Even if they offered an access cab short bed, I still would have gone for the long bed. For the times where I use the bed, that extra space is crucial.

If I could have found one on a lot locally I would have had one. The dealer told me they could do a dealer-to-dealer trade but then I would have lost all of my bargaining power...

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
My access cab has the standard 6ft bed, wish it had the long bed which is 7ft that way i could close the gate with 2 dirtbikes in the back, but long bed is only available on double cab and regular cab

I'm sorry, but isn't the "long bed" of the double cab the 6 foot bed? The short bed is 60" while the long bed or standard bed is 72". I've never seen an option for a 7 foot bed
