In our access cab taco we use a moving blanket (quilted style) with the seats down. 3 labrador-mixes can settle in OK, plenty of room.

We were using one of those accordion sun shades across the back to attempt to keep the hair off the cloth part of the back rests. It worked well a few times but if they get restless then not so much.

previous truck had a Leer cap and they rode in the bed with a rubber stall mat down for comfort & traction.

but like someone above said, better to harness them in if you can - for your safety and theirs.

Mine go wheelin' with me all the time. I make sure to take them out of the bed on the really steep climbs or more challenging spots since they've almost been thrown out, lesson learnt. I'm almost ready to buy a topper since i can't stand the hair in the cab anymore, but until then they'll continue to ride in the bed around town/off road or in the back seat where i made a platform for them.

i have 2 big dogs (both over 65 pounds) and right now they ride in the back in a crate. we only have 1 crate, and even though it's big, they both barely fit. so right now we are looking for another option

My Boxer rides in the back-seat always. I covered the seat w/ a fitted sheet and it works fine for me. Eventhough I have a cap he gets seperation anxiety back there so I let him in the cab. Doesn't shed too bad either.

Gylar - that is a sweet platform you made there, Kudos

Where did you find the back seat pad like this? This will be perfect for when I throw my toolboxes in the back seat area.

I just built it using some plywood, carpet and a good stencil. I'm still using it 2 years later.

    None yet.....
I've only had my dog in my truck once, and it was in the back of the cab with the seats folded down. I quickly learned that doesn't work well without some sort of modification as he slid back and forth like a bowling ball. I used to have him in the bed when I had a truck with leather seats, but he likes it better in the cab.
