Head Lights And Fan On Same Circuit?

    I just purchased/imported a new Tacoma Access Cab from the US. I have discovered that with the key removed, if I turn on the head lights the fan will also come on? The only thing I can think of is that when the daytime running lights were hooked up as required in Canada, a wire was crossed. Any thoughts?
