Zerk grease quantity..new truck

    Lighted 4x4 switch, Ipod direct adapter, Intermittent wiper, cruise control.
    Wow, that is hard to say. Wouldn't hurt to hit them with some grease and see if it stops. You have 4x4 right? 2wd do not have grease fittings

    I would try greasing and see what happens? My be w strange question, but is it more of a chirp than a squeak? That usually indicates metal on metal needing some lube.

    It changes in pitches like as it was the rotation. And its only between 50-60 km/h but most of city driving is in that range. I don't know how to describe it but its almost like a ERRR A ERRR A sound but with "W" lol. And yes I it is a 4x4

    I imagine they come with grease only in the roller bearings (where it's needed) with galleries leading from the zerk to the bearing area (where it's not needed) being empty.

    What he said....

    Word of caution... don't over do it pumping the hell out of them. Go slow and stop when a little starts to squeeze out. Pumping the hell out of them only aids in accelerating seal failure. The seals starts to tear out and then dirt and water can get in. Everything in moderation.....
