Bed rail ladder/stuff rack

Is there an elevated rack for carrying ladders and other long stuff that attaches to the bed accessory rails in the Tacoma? I couldn't find any threads on this.....thanks. Phil

 

Thule Xsporter 422XT-mine was $540.

 

$540...OUCH!

 

It wasn't cheap but is made well and is adjustable. I think Lowes carries something called a "track rack" that is about half the price of the Thule.

 

I assume you also purchased the ~$45 attachments to use the Tacoma accessory rail? I believe they are a separate item?

 

Thanks....the Track Rack at Lowes (~$345) looks exactly like the Thule, but doesn't go up and down. In fact, I'll bet you Thule makes it.....

 

Yep it's the XK1 pack. Can't remember what it cost though. I would sell my rack if I could only find a silver shortbed campershell with rack mounts on top (for my RTT).

 

Don't know how elevated you want to go.
Take a look at JLink's build.
I was pretty impressed with his setup
Just the cost of a set of Roof Racks
And they can be moved to the roof of a Cap, if you have/get one
