Wow. WeatherTech mats

I just put in some Rugged Ridge floormats about two weeks ago. I liked the WeatherTechs too, then I found my Rugged Ridge floormats. I had to trim them under the clutch pedal as well.

I guess that's better than my truck trying to drive me down the road at full speed! Luckily I have a 4-banger so I would have plenty of time to react before going too fast.

 

That would suck to have a stuck gas pedal on a v6 auto.

In looking at the weathertech pictures, it looks like it has 2 holes in it. and not where the hooks fit. Am I seeing that correctly?

 

Yes, there are holes where the floor mat retainer clips go. The holes go all the way through the mat.

I've never found it to be an issue.

they also have Husky liners, some guys like those better

 

If you zoom in on the overhead view of the whole vehicle they even have weathertech brand tag right on them

 

why? so easy to pop in neutral then kill the engine.

PS: to not get off topic - i love my weathermats.

 

I ordered the "Trail gear 2" liners from cabelas and they are weathertechs, mine even had the weathertech sticker on them. And yes I got them $20 cheaper.

i’m asking for weather techs for christmas.

 

I did email weather tech about the 2012 liners with the new anchor set up they said a couple of months I did sign up for a email when they become available. I just put a pair in the wife's car I do like them, so for now I did get the rubber mats with my 2012.

 

A group buy needs to happen. I need to get a set for the new Taco!

Does anyone know how to clean the grey WeatherTechs?

Mine have "stained" or rubbed in black marks from my shoes and dirt. Tried scrubbing with dawn and a nylon scrub brush but the marks are still there. Any suggestions on how to get them looking like new again?

 

Hind sight being 20/20, since these mats fit so well in the truck i kinda wish i just ordered the mats without the retaining holes. I've found that over the winter time i usually get salt and dirt buildup right underneath those holes.
