Thanks for the comments. I've gotten some nice comments from my truck-owning buddies at work - and they are staunch domestic owners.

I considered leaving the Toyota emblem off, but it seemed too barren and open. Kinda looked like something was missing. It looks much better IMHO with the emblem on there.

Looks good. I got a similar grille off of ebay, but the quality was not the same. It took me longer to install since:
    1) the directions were horrible
    2) the grille wasn't shaped properly
3)the supplied hardware (hooks) was not angled correctly or the right size for the bumper grill

I had to manipulate the grille to properly fit, which included some bending and dremmel work. It turned out looking OK, but it required much more work than anticipated.

    Don't buy from this seller:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220342575205

I should scan the instructions so you can see how crappy they are...

Yeah please scan those instructions. Sounds scary indeed!

They gave me two copies of this, one for the main grille and the other for the bumper, even though they are installed differently. Also, the hardware supplied is not the same as listed on the instructions.

Those J-Hooks are similar to the "Goody4Less" grill brackets for the bumper portion. Instructions don't sound like they just came out of Google translate, though! Thanks for scanning!

Well powder coating your colour then a clear coat on top would hold up. However, the whole process would add a lot of cost.

Best contact a vendor like Grillcraft or even the eBay seller I mentioned to ask about getting one in the colour you prefer. That way you may be able to get your desired colour right out of the box. You would then have a nice finish that will last.

So did the vertical supports came painted black, or did you did it yourself. I want to get this grill, but I don't like the ones that show the verticals.

Good Price! The set I was looking at was $189 without shipping. I'll look into this set.

The vertical were already painted black. Don't notice them at all. I'm quite happy with the quality of this item.

How did you put your emblem on? I've heard a few options from folks on here, but I want to hear as many possibilities as I can.

Nice. I tried to put mine on when I changed the grill, but it doesn't click on. It just slides around and falls off. It looks awesome though. Nice Truck
