I like it. I would have one if I was back in Wisconsin. My parents driveway is also about 200 meters long.

im wondering this also.and if i get ome 886 springs, will that compensate for the heavier metal blades? and the two little robot arm looking clasping claw thingies, are they completely and easily removable every time you use it? or at least each season? i dont really want to have a rock catcher when i go wheeling. thanks

and ill have an arb front too

i'm putting a fisher homesteader on mine soon. if it sags to much i'm going to add 886 springs come spring. i planned on billies and a aal anyways.

as far as the truck handling it it will do fine if you know what your working with. i'm just doing my drive. i had a 2500hd big block w/fisher and 8 foot steel blade. that was overkill. this should work fine.

I had a plow truck for a long time and just got tired of dumping $$$ into it...you don't get much for $4500. For me, one less vehicle to maintain and find a place for. I put my frame on in the winter and only put the plow on to plow...easy enough to put on and take off. If I was gonna plow commercially or even anything more than a few driveways that I know well, I would probably have made a different decision. Perfect for me and looking forward to the snow!

i was thinking of getting a plow for my tacoma when i move back to ny.

but id really be interested to see how much snow it could handle pushing... especially being a 4 banger and having a big truck for plowing previously...

The mount is pretty low and definitely takes away from your clearance. I'd say it's no higher than 10-12". I take the plow mount off as soon as the snow stops flying...usually about mid-April. Gonna be time to put it back on soon...that sucks...:(

I'm a socal/military transplant to a Missouri and I always wonder why people bother shoveling their driveways when they drive a four wheel drive. I only shovel the ten feet leading up to the garage door so that I make sure I clear vertically.

Not sure about there but I'm in the foothills of Colorado and we have. I choice the hoa charges us a fine if the full driveway and sidewalks aren't shoveled in 24hrs of a storm.

I would try and find a used one...I have seen them for $2500 or so. I just think the rest of the plows available are either too light and will float on top of the snow or too heavy and will weigh the front down too much.

I would not recommend that. I use mine for my easily plowed, paved driveway. If I were doing anything more than that ,I would have a 3/4 ton truck with a plow that's designed for that type of punishment. My Tacoma is tough but I would be worried about pushing it to that extent.

Because Momma don't drive a Tacoma and she's gotta get to work too!

Wife couldn't get out if I didn't. Also the top half of my driveway is conected to my walkway to the front door, if I didn't shovel that and someone falls and maybe gets hurt, they can sue the shit out of me.
