I just purchased my new 2012 Tacoma 4 cylinder prerunner. For the most part, it is a pretty basic truck. I am looking for OEM aftermarket fog lights that will fit into the opening in the front bumper. Most of my searches only show me 2011 models. Is there a difference and/or can someone point me in the right direction to find them?

Not until you post up pics of the truck....bigger than an avatar. :D Sorry, just wanna see the truck. From the looks of it tho, the 2012 fogs are smaller diameter than the 2005-2011s.

There are these on ebay and say specifically 2012...............

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Toyota-Tacoma-Xenon-Fog-Lamps-Driving-Lights-12-lamp-light-/250957470577?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ATacoma&vxp=mtr&hash=item3a6e3b1b71

These say 2005-2012, but the fit list only goes from 05-11 inside the listing.......

I am still awaiting delivery, hopefully Saturday the 31st. I had to sell some stock to put down a sizeable down payment to keep the car payments low and awaiting the funds to clear. The paperwork is completed, just awaiting my check. Here are some pictures of the truck waiting for me:

I know the 2011's use an H10 bulb where our 2012's use H11's (for factory fogs). My buddy has a 2006 DC, and his factory fog light housings are wider in diameter than mine..so I would venture to say that unless it says that it's for a 2012...don't waste your time w/anything that's fitted for a 2011.

My bad, didn't pay attention to the background. That first listing I posted said 2012 and showed 2012 pic. I would avoid any that say 2005-2012. Does come with harness, switch & even brackets. The kit for my 05 didn't need the brackets nor did it come with any. Not sure about the 2012s on that. Also I would assume the switch to be junk like the kits for earlier yrs. I spliced in a factory switch on mine. There are alternate switches that are better than the kit ones that do fit our dashes but again, I can only speak to the 05-11s, not sure if the dash switch holes are different on the 2012s. Congrats on the new ride & welcome aboard.........

I wrote the good people at BlingLights regarding a Fog Light kit for the 2012 which does have a smaller bumper opening then the 2011's and below. Here is the response:

The lamps for your 2012 Tacoma 2.7L Prerunner double-cab are in the link below. It is a complete kit with both lamps, bulbs, wiring, mounts, fuse, relay, switch, warranty and directions. Everything needed to install and enjoy even if you don't have the optional factory fog lamps. These lamps are smaller than the 2011 model year. Hope this helps, please email me with any other questions. thx

Hey I was wondering if you purchased these and did the install. I'm curious if you have to cut out holes in the black fog light housing or if you remove those and replace it with pre cut ones that (hopefully) come with the new lights.

So I may be picking up the bling lights for the 2012 here shortly. I'll try to document the install for those interested.

I'd second the Blazers, or possibly look into custom-mounting some Hella low beam modules (they are made in 120mm, 90mm--most common--, 60 & 50mm). It might be a pain to mount them.

It depends on what you want them for. Factory fog lights aren't very functional, but they definitely look way better (my truck came without them, and I added factory-style Depo units).

I guess my question is, since the 2012 is a new size do we have any confirmation the ones you guys listed would fit?
I mainly want them because I hate the look of the blanks. It is screaming put something there.

If it's just for aesthetics (which I agree it looks better), just see if you can find a DEPO kit or something for them. It's a new truck, so it's going to be hard to find knock-offs but they are probably your best bet.

measure the diameter of your hole and call up the retrofitsource to see how big the diameter of the blazer fogs...

I was referring more to the blaze lights JBLAZE posted or the Hella iroc mentioned.

i bought the the blinglights fog lights and it doesn't fit on my 2012 tacoma. you will have to make a custom fit in order to make it fit. i didn't bother to try to make it fit.

Recently tried to install bling lights fog/leds on my ride.
mounted the bracket above the lght overhaning the bumber plastic.

when light was mounted flush inside the plastic housing the light would be angled out externally. this is a hazard for oncoming traffic. with the light adjusted inward there would be noticeable gaps between light fixture and plasic.

the only around this seems to be to shave/triim the plastic so the light will fit right and have the light angled properly. kind of sucks, didnt see how wack light was until dark. will need to remove head lights and grill again to adjust. what a royal PIA.

the blinglights instructions lists an allternative mounting method using a piece of PVC pipe. has anyone tried this ?
