Did a couple mods this past week. Here are a couple pics. I can do write ups if someone needs it.

first one is of the Switch install in preparation of the hood scoop lighting

The next one is the LED lighting I instaled to illuminate the lower forward cup holders at night. They were wired into the fan control panel above it and come on with the dash lights.

The last pic is of the A/C plug I installed into the back side of the console. It is tapped off of the A/C power underneath the console.

00550-35976 from the dealer. It required just a fraction of trimming to get it to slip in. ( about a dime thickness ). It went in easy. If you remove the coin holder and use an add a fuse, that is all the disassembly required. Ran the wiring through the grommet for the hood release.

You are welcome. To clarify a bit, I used a rotozip on the dash opening to take off just a little bit of plastic. I did not trim down the switch itself

What LED's did you use to illuminate the lower forward cup holders?? They look like they have a mounting flange or a housing. I've been looking for something like those....

Brand was "Super bright Leds" I will go out to the shop and retrieve the part number off the bag. I bought a few of them. They give just enough glow to see, yet are not too bright to be on all the time. They are flanged slightly. Used a 9/16 step drill to make the hole for them.

The plug on the console is awesome... You should do a write up for all of these.. Looks clean. This thread wins big time if the write ups appear.

Yes, that is the one I am installing. The switch in this post was installed for just that purpose. And I realize it is illegal to use on the roadways. It will be an off road only application, or just some extra lighting when needed for chores or recoveries.
