No weirdness. Kinda stealth with stock exhaust...you can hear it just above idle being a bit deeper throatier & it has a different sound accelerating too but don't really notice without slider open.

It'll be one and a half balls unless you go with a different catback or full exhaust. :D

I had the dt on my truck, just put the lce on. I will say I did notice a low end gain from the lce. I can stay in fifth on a highway incline. I do have an afe pro dry cai and ran it with stock exhaust. I sounds good and works just fine with stock. a new muffler isn't necessary. it will simply change the sound of the truck. Theirs not enough back pressure relief from a high flow muffler to gain much of anything. It just makes it sound different. If you were to go for a new muffler I would follow what was mentioned before, dynomax super turbo. It has one of the best flow ratings and doesn't make your truck sound like its burning rice or having an endless fart stream.

is the stock muffler on 2tr motor restricting exhaust flow more than the stock exhaust pipe itself? am planning on installing LCE header but dont want to shell out $$ for full exhaust but could replace stock muffler with magna flow or other type to increase flow, is changing the muffler worth messing with?

The pipes are simply a tube and there is no need for larger ones the muffler is what restricts airflow but like I said you can run the header with stock muffler and it won't restrict airflow enough to notice any performance gains from a different muffler just a better sound. If you do want to get an aftermarket muffler check the flow ratings before buying cuz some are actually worse than stock. Dynomax read out with best air flow
