zero noticable flex when mounted on the truck, and it's only going to get stronger tomorrow when i make the legs that secure it to the bed bolts.

minus the headache rack portion which is 2x3'' box, all of the tube work is 1'' with a .125'' wall thickness, for an outer diameter of 1.25''. i'll run out of room to cary stuff on it before i reach it's carying strength. was also able to keep it pretty light. i was able to lift it onto the truck without help, fairly easily. i'll get some mounted pictures tomorrow when i'm working on the legs.

it actually swings up. after the rack's all done, i'll build a set of arms that hold the swing part up out of the way when i need full bed space.

i've thought about it, but am still unsure if i want to. with still being a full time student and working a job on the side, time's already tight, and between word of mouth on here and the facebook page, i keep pretty busy. i'd hate to post a thread on here and then be like a lot of the vendors on here with couple month long waits. it kinda happened to john with his roof rack, but that is due to shipping limitations :(

got some shots of the rack today.....broke my welding helmet which brought things to a standstill, so it's still not fully donw, but it's securely mounted at least. still have to mount all of the stuff to it.

where the legs will anchor it to the bed (painted it so it doesn't rust before i can weld it up)

figuring out where i want to mount everything. probably go with this, and then have another bike mount, and the hi-lift mount on the other side.

Took a pretty hard hit on the drivers side on the most recent wheeling trip. imediate effects were a sure ass and the alignment was noticibly off. while i was putting on a new set of tie rod ends yesterday, idid a close inspection to check for any other damage. one of the alignment tabs is now bent even further than it was before, and i also managed to crack part of the weld (about an inch) on the lower part of my spindle gusset. about 4 months earlier, that same side took another realy hard hit, so i'm guessing that weakened the weld (maybe a hairline crack), and the more recent incident finished the job. it's all fixed now, and i'm glad i had them. +1 for total chaos spindle gussets

ton of room. if the tiresclear your spindle, they'll clear the gusset. keep in mind though, that this is the old style gusset (not sway bar compatible). i know you don't have your bar on, but the new ones are set of a litle differently and may offer less clearance. i'd search for a picture of the new style installed. you also can't use the new style with LR or stuck UCAs. the old style and i believe the all pro gussets can be used with them.

you can see here that mine don't stick out past the spindle. they actually kinda sit behind it
