    yes
Very carefully so that I lined it up well.
Its the exact same width as the door emblems. I guess someone was thinking about that.
The applying is easy the trimming is difficult.

is there anyway they can be painted on the truck? that way you dont have to go through all that pain of getting them off and getting them back in the right spot!

No that would just totally mess up your truck, its not hard taco man just gotta tape where the emblems were on your truck and then use fishing line and blow dryer and just slowly saw them off going up and down on the emblems and they come off! I personally used this thread http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/detailing/14432-de-badging-painting-badges-re-badging.html

I bought the adhesion promoter... Bad idea? Or should I sand it?

They sell them at autozone. I honestly had a hard time finding the krylon paint. But I got them yesterday and will be doing my toyota grill emblem tonight. Then umma head over my parents house this weekend and use my dads fishing line to remove the other badges lol.

Looking good. I wanted to do that this weekend but now with having to fill the pool in with dirt I have a lot on the list.

I didn't sand mine down at all. I actually used a primer instead of the adhesion promoter. Then some Krylon fusion black paint. Turned out great and didn't put on a clear coat neither. Not to worried about them. If something happens I can always re-paint them! Very easy mod to do IMO!;)
