Whats the consensus on trucks with JBL and XM? Is there a real ipod interface that works or not? I can't seem to find any good information.

In 2011, they put the XM inside the head unit, this made all the kits that were compatible with 05-10 not work, as most would disable the XM receiver. Well, there isn't a way to disable to XM receiver. Even the Toyota Ipod Interface doesn't work.
