    We do have a longer "grow" season. 5lb largemouths are a dime a dozen, a five pound smallie, a true battle. Not uncommon, but not a everyday deal either. IMO a 5 SM is equal to a 8-9lb LM, fight and pride wise.

    Again, just a longer season, just like Florida, is another league from us as far as largemouth go. But they don't have any good moving/cold water for the "bronzebacks" like we do.
