What OHM load are the stock speakers in a 2011 R/C? (Installing Amp)

After a huge financial hiatus I am finally getting ready to add a small amp to my truck. I picked up a Phoenix Gold M25 (2x25W @ 12V & 4ohms) that I am going to hook up to the stock deck via an

$75 AudioControl Lc2i 2 Channel Line Out Converter with AccuBASS and Subwoofer Control

AudioControl Lc2i adapter.

For now I can't afford to replace my speakers so I am going to run this on the stock ones. Anyone know what sort of OHM load the stock speakers are? I am just running the amp in normal stereo mode with one channel going to each door. The amp is 2 OHM stable without a problem but I am just curious so I can figure what sort of strain I'm putting on the amp (for cooling purposes) if the stockers aren't 4 ohm.

 

Why would you want to amp the stock speakers? have you seen the stock speakers? they are made of paper and the magnets are the size of a quarter. Im pretty sure the RMS on them is around 15...

Your money would be much better spent on new speakers even a set of cheap coaxial or 3-way's will sound much better than anything stock.

 

X2... Not sure about the 2nd gens but the 1st gen stock speakers are paper. ANYTHING... Even cheap aftermarkets will be an upgrade.

I want to amp them because:

A) I don't have the funds right now to purchase the Hybrid Audio Imagines that I have planned to go in. So why would I want to purchase a set of $50 speakers that would have next to zero resale value when I'm done with them, when I can do it right the first time?

B) I already have the LC2i laying around from a previous install I had planned a few months back. So it's paid for.

C) I already have ever piece of wiring to do the install.

D) I acquired this amp for $50 which yes it could have bought me the aforementioned set of cheap co-axils that I could have ran off deck power.

I really do not see why it matters which route I go when in the end I will have a quality setup without having a set of speakers laying around that I never needed in the first place. Rest assured I wouldn't have invested in a fairly decent LOC and amp if I were going to stick with the stock inferior speakers forever.

I am doing the install myself so I won't be out a dime for the fact that I will have to remove the door panels twice before the install is complete and that is the only downfall I am seeing to the route I'm taking

Not doing it right the first time. You're modifying your stock system first, you'll blow your stock speakers in a week, then you'll have to save up for the speakers you mentioned and upgrade again.

It doesn't. Just giving you feedback to save you time and wasted effort in trying to amp your stock speakers. IMO, I'd save up money first and really do it right the first time. That way you don't blow your stock speakers and can go back to stock if you ever sell the truck.

well, most stock toyota speakers are 4ohm but i dont wanna say for sure. and as for all the coments about the pape cone, it actually produces great sound quality, just not when you try to run high power or bass through them, but yea ur better off buying a set of cheapy coax's and throwing those in.
