Want to buy a hitch...SO, which one?

    Hey folks,

    What hitch do you guys recommend for the 2008 Tacoma? I am looking on eBay and see everything from $89 to $245! Brands include U-Haul, Quality S, Valley Tow-Rite, Hidden Hitch, and more! I want a good one - but not going to use it more than occasionally Holding a bike-rack is a good use also....

    A clean low visibility installation from the back view would be desirable.

    So, what are you guys recommending? Thanks, Rob

    check the for sale thread on here...should be able to find a factory hitch that someone has taken off for a reasonable price. stout as hell and made just for the tacoma. some of the aftermarket hitches i've seen don't look like they would even hold up a bike.

    Curt Hitch and etrailer.com wiring harness.
    I ordered a Class III hitch from eTrailer.com made by Curt and am very happy with it. It tucks completely under the rear bumper and doesn't stick out the way some others do to bang your legs on. Comes with installation instructions though I had the local U-Haul guy mount mine for $45 since I am a lazy old fart with a sore back.

    i would recommend hidden hitch. had one on multiple vehicles and it held up good. plus you can get it in colors which is cool.

    I posted this last December and towed with it for the first time last Friday. The hitch is nearly invisible - good quality.

    The Mag-Flat is nice. It clips around the connector and its magnet lets me tuck it up under the bumper - out of sight. When I towed, the magnet held the connector right onthe hitch tube.
