Not sure what they're called, but I need to get one of those plastic vests dirt bike riders wear to protect them from rocks and crushing risks to the chest. I'm a little concerned in our mower racing events that I'm going to get hurt because now we go a lot faster than last year. Thanks.

Yes, chest protectors is what I meant. Are these things expensive?

I think I might get that unit you show there. Only thing is, do you suppose that "biofoam" stuff would be as protective as some of the hard plastic ones I've seen?

I'm up in Norcal. There's a few motorbike joints up around here, but I called the closest one to me and they want $140 freakin' dollars for theirs. No way!

Here's a dumb question: Are these meant mainly to deflect rocks or are they also good for if you fall off? I'm more concerned about falling off because in our sport, we wreck A LOT.

Thanks for the explanation. I was looking on that fox site, and even the top of the line unit is around $100. Not too bad considering its all for safety.

I wear a brand called TEKVEST when I ride my snowmobile. My sled forum had a GB for them & has vendors like we do here. I would not ride without one now & their is no price tag on stopping your handbar, stick, sharp object on impaling you. They sell many different models/configurations ...denniskirk has the best return policy
