Roll up a towel and lay it over the windshield vents.

Actually, you do, you just don't realize it because you usually have the heat turned up.

On defrost, the AC compressor kicks in because it acts as a de-humidifier to clear the windshield faster.

Piece of cardboard between the vent and the windshield to direct the air into the cab rather than onto the windshield?

:D haha sure does, but I see it this way, there is no reason to be rude if someone is trying to fix something. Specially if it doesn't happen to them. I'll keep trying to fine a way to fix it and HE can just deal with it.

Being polite isn't a strong suit here for the most part, but getting answers is

Yes it does happen to me. Does it in my '11 and did it in my '08. It's just the way the air hits the windshield. Aside from altering the angle of the vents or putting some kind of deflector in there it's gonna happen.

crack your windows until the hot air escapes, just like the previous poster stated. it's annoying, but it's what our trucks do. you're not the only guy whose taco gets that annoying foggy crap in the mornings. i find that if i crack my back windows just bit for a couple miles, don't blast the a/c, and put it on feet, then it goes away. you can then roll up your windows and fix your a/c however you wish.

The temp inside is cooler than the temp outside. That's why it does that. When you get your cab to a "comfortable" cool, turn your air setting between 1 and 3 and it should stop and vise versa in the winter.
