I just had this cover installed last week. Well today, it rained, and when the wife opened the cover, water dumped into the bed. She was not very happy, and neither was I. Anyone else have this issue?

I checked the manual, and the brackets are the correct measurement from the bulkhead.

    The model is UC4056

I installed mine last week too and felt the same way based on their measurements in the install instructions. I shifted it closer to the cab a bit and it fits better and the water. Runs off in the gap between the bed and cab.

How close does yours sit to the cab? Mine sits 7/8 inch from the cab, and 1/4 from the window gasket while shut.

The relationship to the cab will vary due to how the bed is mounted every truck is different.

The way to install the cover is to leave the front mounts near the can loose enough that you can shift them around but will not loose their place when opened.

At this point close the cover with tailget up and then bend down and check the gap between tailgate and the cover. It should be touching or a 1/16" gap this will make it slid far forward as possible and the water will not get into the bed when raised.

this is basically what I did after i saw how awful the fitment was based on undercovers installation measurements.

Okay, I adjusted it so the back is touching the tailgate, and the front is 1/8 inch from the back window gasket (pretty close, maybe okay). Poured water on top, opened it up, and it is much improved.

I still believe that the flap should be at least an inch longer. I may put a small strip on the bed to block any spillage that may occur, just in case.

Thank you very much for the help.
