Anyone have any ideas? I have the Scosche TA02B and I think it will work but then I found the Metra 80-1761 and Metra 70-1761 that are both apparently for 1987 Toyota and up. The 80-1761 says it's a "Smart" harness, whatever that means. Has anyone used either of these Metra harnesses for their DDIN head units? Again I'm installing the Kenwood DNX7140 in my 07 access cab within the next week and am curious which wiring harness is going to work best. Thanks for your help.

A wiring harness is a wiring harness. Check for the required leads, they should be labeled, and match them up to your deck harness. If you have extras on your deck harness then maybe you should look into a different harness. I'm holding the TA02B in my hand right now and It looks like it uses all pins but two. Probably a good choice.

Now if you have a JBL stereo, DON'T USE THAT HARNESS. You need a totally different setup for a JBL.

Thanks Brian. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens.
