I think he's just saying to search and look around for info that you need. There aren't a lot of specific posts around, but enough to learn almost all that you need to do an install. Like he said....people are here to help....you just need to get specific about what you want to know to help you get it installed. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yes thank you. I didn't mean it to be mean spirited so I apologize if it came off that way. Please just be more specific.

Anyone know if it's necessary to connect the pink and purple wires if not using the back up camera? Will it affect the Nav function if not? Any words of advice are appreciated.

I just bought the New Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH and will be installing it soon. I have all the nessicary parts and needed to know exactly were the VCC and reverse signal input wire. I have a 08 DCSB with JBL. I looked behind the coin drawer at the fuse box and couldn't find the connectes as in this photo

Awesome how-to OP, thanks. I am about to install the AVIC-Z140 too. Think that this thread will be a great reference for me. One question though, am I missing anything from my shopping list? I don't care about XM so not planning to use that. Want to tie into bu camera and use my audio control steering wheel buttons. (dont have bluetooth steering wheel buttons)

    shopping cart:
    Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH
    Pioneer CD-IU51V
    Scosche 010TA2053B
    Metra Axxess ASWC

    Thanks for any suggestions/additions.

2010 Tacoma double cab JBL system.

I've installed a new headunit and tapped into the rear view camera and got full steering wheel controls. Partial win.

    I don't have any sound....
I've shown my install to two shops, the first doesn't use the meastro harness adapters. The second does and was confused about why the blue/white amp turn-on wire from the deck and thought the new harness dead ends at the truck side harness plug. I've been trying to track down what wires the 8-pin plug that went into the factory JBL deck contains. This is the first post I've seen that even mentions it.

    1. Does anyone know this 8-pin plugs map?

    2. Can anyone confirm which truck plug/wire is the amp turn on?

    3. Has anyone experienced this road block?
