This make me glad I live somewhere that it freezes in the winter. The most dangerous animals around here are either water moccasins or komikazi deer.

Set up sticky traps for mice or spray pesticides. Black lights will help you see them at night

Just a bunch of old crap
Eric, here's some good info you can use because I also deal with scorpions at my house all the time. My last 3 houses have had scorpions because of my proximity to open desert, so I've learned a thing or two about what works. Hope this helps.

Since you're in an apartment, scorpion infestations are very difficult to treat in them because of connected walls. Small bark scorpions travel around in the shared attic spaces, crawl between walls from unit to unit and squeeze out into your apartment from behind light switches and power outlets, and travel around in your air ducts. Once the building has them, it's tough to get them out. I'd also be willing to bet that you have them on the floor, but you can't see them AND they really like to hide in the edges between the carpet and the wall. Pull back a section of carpet off of the tack strip and I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't find some under there.

Remember this: the main way to keep scorpions to a minimum is to kill their food source - most likely it's crickets. If you have a ton of crickets around your property, it's going to keep the scorpions well-fed.

My house is right in the mountains, so we constantly see them. Fortunately, I finally found the ultimate cure for them, and have been scorpion-free since, both inside and out. Not sure if this will 100% work for your apartment because you can't treat the entire building perimeter, but this should take care of your inside issues.

This stuff is seriously the most bad-ass bug killer I've ever experienced. And I've tried everything. Spray it along all of the edges where wall meets floor in your home. Safe to spray around food storage and in pantries, too. Outside do the same thing, but also treat entire patio surfaces, anywhere fences connect to building walls, and around anywhere that pipes and fittings go into your outside walls.

It works for every bug I've ever seen cross through it, even flying bugs that barely land where you sprayed this stuff. If a bug touches a treated piece of concrete, wood, tile, etc., they die within minutes even months after treatments. Good for indoors and out, and is even pet/kid safe after it's dry. One 16oz bottle costs about $40 (see Amazon) but will make many gallons of diluted spray. Indoors requires lesser concentrations, but double the dose and spray all around your doorways, window sills, vents, outlets, etc. and watch the bug Auschwitz begin. The next morning, you'll see more dead bugs than you ever dreamed were even in or around your home. It works for 1-3 months per treatment (that's outside ratings, based on rainfall), but inside it works for up to about 6 months per treatment. Way cheaper than calling a bug guy out every month, and it's the same stuff they use on scorpion infestations.

Give it a try. I'm about to do another treatment because I finally saw my first few crickets in the backyard again. Probably from the dilution of my last treatment because of the monsoon storms. I'm keeping the crickets maintained outside and it keeps the scorpions out.

    Good luck!

I don't have any experience with scorpions, we just have water moccasins and alligators, and they seldom hang out on our walls, but....maybe the pest control guys are spraying the outside, and that runs them into your place looking for a safe hideaway?
