I'm sure I'll catch quite the load for asking this, but I'd still like to hear some thoughts - how pointless would you guys find it for me to lift my 2WD 2.7 regular cab Tacoma? I'm not talking crazy, long-travel lift with 35's, but a ReadyLift 69-5510 kit with 31's. Thoughts?

There are a few folks on here that have done it. I think a lot of them use the fat bobs lift. I think it would look a lot better. Make it happen...who cares if others give you hell about it!

I've looked at the Fat Bob's kit, which looks pretty good and allows for 33's, but the ReadyLift just looks a little better to me. Besides, 31's is plenty for me - I've always driven street trucks :D

It will for sure help your approach/departure angles offroad. You can put the stouter tires on it also, so that helps offroad also. If you're doing it for offroad capabilities better to just sell it and get a 4WD.

The lifted 5-lugs look pretty badass. I say "do it", who gives a shit what anyone thinks.
