im comfortable with 400-500 but i can buy it part by part (which im doing anyway) i can go 100-150 above that, but it would take another 3 months or so for 150.
    What are you thinking?

I build computers on the side and was just trying to get an idea of a price range and was going to throw together something and list all parts as kind of a one shot buy assembly isnt hard but knowing good components at good prices can be. really the only daunting task in putting a computer together is getting the heatsink and CPU just right, other than that you cant really mess it up.

ill throw together a list once i get home from work and have a decent computer to multitask from

Fog lights, back-up camera, TRD cat-back exhaust, towing package, int. wiper stalk, Weathertech floor liners, color-matched the front bumper and grille, TSB leaf packs, Front Bilstein 5100's at 0", Eibach/Toytec coils (approx 1.25" front lift - sits almost level), rear Bilstein 5100's.
I think your ssd link is messed -it's pulling up the PSU page when I click on it...

Regardless, this looks to me like it would work. In newer games you're really going to have to crank down on the detail some... Power supply might be overkill, but better safe than sorry, and that one will give you room to grow. I'm currently running the same one and its fantastic.

Personal opinion - I wouldn't go for Seagate drives. Years ago they were fantastic and I used them in every build. Now, seriously, every one I've tried has died within a year. Some in as little as a few months. Switched to Western Digital and haven't looked back. I haven't used biostar mobos... I've heard mixed reviews on them on them, but the one you selected seems to be pretty solid.

Are you really going to use that P2 case? It looks like it will only fit micro atx, and the airflow in there doesn't look anywhere near adequate for modern components. I'm not sure about the particular AMD processor you selelcted, but the ones I've had in the past kicked out much more heat than any intel I've run. Same with ati/amd video cards.

I always read reviews when buying hard drives, some Seagates do not last long at all, in some cases less than a year. Some of them are ok and then some are not, take warning.

so i crunched the numbers today and talked to my parents and they dont want me to go above $550 so im shooting for a build that cost right around $500

i might have to ditch the ssd to get a extra ~$60

I always stick with Western Digitals myself. I have only one drive fail in the last 15 years of using WDs. I have had several Seagtes but I have never had one crap out on me in less than a year.

As an IT Manager, I handle the purchasing of PCs and laptops for my the company that I work for. The worst drives that I have seen are Hitachi's that come with some of the Dells that I order. I had two Hitachi hard drives fail in two PCs this month already but Dell is great in sending me Western Digitals as replacements.
