Idk if there is a certain battery people on the board are fond of but I'm a big fan of interstate wet battery's or if ya want l something a bit beefer the optima red and yellow are some dry cell battery's I have had luck with.

do you run alot of accessories and off road? i would do the extra work and use a dual setup.. odyssey pc680(15lbs) and pc1700(60lbs)

i'm thinking about going for a lightweight braille battery for my celica pretty soon. and just use a pc1700 in the taco.

dual batteries really should be as "matched" as possible, otherwise they will fight eachother.

generally yes in simple setups. its best to create isolation with the setup i listed. it just all depends on the person , how difficult they want the job to be, and determining which runs off from what.

Looks killer.... but you actually take the time to paint your oil filter to match the truck every 5k, or is that a sleeve that you put over it?

Costco stopped carrying the Optimas due to customer complaints of problems.
Odd because these batteries have been highly regarded for 10 years. Don't know if QC turned to shit, Costco got a bad batch, or what's going on.
Sams Club still has the red tops.

That answer is subjective, but that is the reason why I bought the Yellow Top

I got the above information from another user on this site who asked Costco why they discontinued the product.

A Diehard Platinum is one of the best you can get from what I hear. So I got one. So far it is doing better than the everstart that was in there. I played music for an hour with the truck off and it still started up like nothing. Also it stopped my lights from dimming from my music. I was told it was the second best offroad battery out there. Keep in mind I paid $230 for it though. It also has a 4yr warranty which is the best out there. And I also was reading up on how optimas are shit now. My buddy had one in his corvette and it was ALWAYS dead. Diehard Platinum for the win.

So I tried searching and it yielded a lot of different threads. Peaked at about 10 of them and couldn't find anything bad about them, BUT.... I did find this:

    :p :p :p :p :p

No but really, when you have time, please link me to the threads that have bad reviews on them. I mean, not much I can do now, but I'd still like to read up on it.

That seems like a looooong chain of degrees of it being a bad product lol.
