Unichip opinions

Thinking about getting a unichip. I need some opinions of the unichip and what can I experience having a unichip. Thanks

 

I wouldn't consider it. Go to urdusa and get a MAF calibrator and call it a day.

What exactly does the Maf calibrator do?

 

Okay well does it really work and not f stuff up? Been thinking bout it also but i got 220000 on my truck don't want to stress it out

 

Got ya well I barely do that or tow a lot so guess it a waste of money to me if it doesn't do anything for everyday driving

 

Any ideas for a programer that'd be good for racing or fuel economy? Other than the supercharger for 2 grand.. You can buy a lot of gas with 2 grand

Here is my experience with Unichips so far. I havent done anything with it since and its still setting in the box. Not sure if I wanna go through the hassle of renting Unichips software and having it custom tuned. Plus I recently bought this beast! So the taco has kinda of taken a back seat in mod department.

Novanut, you need to bring that back down for TX2K13. LMR plus many many other will be there, showing off their builds. O_O. That place is literally down the street from me as well.

Maybe my truck will be ready for TX2K13 as well. With my non Unichip, but ProEFI. If it is, I would love to run against that beast.

 

Sounds like an awesome time I would love to come down and check it out. I've been following your build thread superb work man! I'm definately envious of your truck that thing will be a beast. I'd be honored to line it up against your taco. I'd love to see that thing run.

 

Time will tell for mine. Definitely a worthy event none the less, if you come. Practically a week worth of racing events. Including the Texas Mile, MSR Houston road course, Drag Racing at Hennessey, and a drift event.

Staying on topic, I have a strong feeling that there won't be but a a pinch of cars out there using the Unichip. Just not up to snuff in most cases.

 

man MSRH is a fun track! If you have a chance to run it I highly recommend it!
