thinking of getting some sort of G-shock but there are just so many models its hard to choose.

 

Buy a G-Shock GIEZ model. You will need to get it from E-Bay or some other online source as some are sold only in Japan. Solar powered, set by satellite transmission, and pretty much indestructible. I'm going on four years with mine. Here's a link to a picture.

Solar powered is nice. I've had 2. Two because 1 died though. First one was GW-300. Solar, atomic clock syncing, automatically set the time, automatically turned on the back light when I rolled my wrist to look at the time, and other features. Damn thing stopped holding a charge though. I put it in the sun today nearly a year later, and it actually fully charged based on the indicator. Thought I'd brought back from the dead until I wore it for 10 minutes and saw the display had turned off and the charge indicator was flashing.

I think it's going to become a gun target now.

 

Thats a good looking watch but Im wanting a digital, somewhere around the $100 mark. I think ive got it narrowed down to these.

Must not be a real popular brand (at least on TW), but I wear a Skagen, mostly bc its one of the thinnest watches I've ever seen

 

Go with this one: GW2310FB-1 nice looking watch and reasonable price. Believe it or not, check Target and Wal-Mart. They sometimes have nice G-Shock selection for less than online.

I usually bounce back and forth between a Tag Heuer Aquaracer 300m and an Omega Seamaster James Bond edition as my daily watches. I must say that I do like the Tag better than the Omega. Currently saving up for an Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph with ceramic bezel in Orange.

 

I checked Ebay and its $120 on there.

is solar and atomic time worth 40 more dollars?

 

Is it worth never changing the battery, changing the time for DST, or adjusting it to keep it accurate?

 

I keep trying to tell myself "buy once, cry once". Ill probably get the solar one this week. I need to sell my spidertraxx to pay for it though...haha
