I went to that site and I could not find any that were not close to 1.5 high. Did I miss something? These would probably all work to left of steering wheel bank.

Not missing anything, I found that site late last night after I found out that is the company that manufactures the switch you posted. I just didn't have time to look through the site yet.

Even though I got an answer from TRDParts4U that says this switch is too tall I just ordered two from the other site that says the dimensions are .75x1.25. Once I get them I will post my findings and hopefully they are listed correctly otherwise someone is going to get a good deal on a couple switches that I won't be using

I am almost 100% sure the first one I posted will fit perfect to the left of the steering wheel, since it is the replacement part for the fog light switch that currently sits there. In order to easliy wire it to aftermarket lights you might have to buy the connector they sell in this kit.

    "1 Fog light switch connector " http://www.toyotapart.com/81211-AA030-KIT.html

I am thinking that the second one is smaller then the first and will fit in the area below the AC controls. But someone early posted it was for Scion and not Toyota. There are two reviews on it, one said it worked perfect, and one said it didn't fit is Tundra... I had done a ton of research at one point and came to the conclusion it would work. I then bookmarked the link... I guess you will find out here pretty soon. Please post your findings on this thread.

I have 1 open spot to the left, when I get more lights I was going to use it first, since it is right next to the fog lights. If I needed another light switch, bed lights, rear lights, roof lights, ect. I was going to use the 2nd one below the AC.

    Switch and pigtail.
This is a 6-wire FJ Cruiser switch, dash illumination and indicator light.

This is a good unit to use for a DIY harness build for a base model or other truck that is not pre-wired.

If your truck is pre-wired, then you want a 4-wire Tacoma switch.

I did a bit more looking and if the switches I bought for about 10 each don't work I will try the tundra one - I just would like to find it for cheaper than 50 bucks I found a picture of what is supposed to be the tundra switch that is listed above in this thread installed under the AC and it looks to match perfectly the atrac button.

I to hope we can find something that will work and is cheaper, i need two switches for this location and at 50$ its not going to happen with those. I Have been pulling up pictures of other Toyota models to see what factory switches might work. Only thing i found so far is the 2012 4runner has a parking sensor switch that will fit, I'm unsure about wiring it though and it to comes in at about $50. Its the switch next to the dimmer in the picture below.

Shaggy, I also found that the 4runners DAC switch is smaller and looks like it might fit those blanks depending on the depth. I know your goal is to move the foglights to make room for your heated mirror switch, you could look into maybe moving the DAC switch and utilizing the 4runner switch in that location. This of course also depends on cost, but it would also keep everything looking oem.

If I get the switches I already ordered and they do not fit I will order a couple of these and post the results here.

For $10.95 and no shipping (I am an Amazon Prime member) it is worth the chance prior to spending a fortune on the two Tundra switches @55 each

Received the switches today - NO DICE. They are 1.5" tall and will fit the locations to left of wheel just fine.

Anyone want to buy for $9.50 each with free shipping?

I just ordered the Daystar switches from Amazon - should have them Thursday.

I was hoping those Toyota ones were going to fit, fingers crossed for those daystars you ordered!

me too...kind of BS that the dimensions on their site were wrong. I did email them and let them know it was incorrect.

Well I went and revisited the sizes and while I do not have the panel out of the truck yet I do have the blank in my hand that was removed awhile back and I think I have mis-measured or measured the wrong place. The blank does not have a lip at all...and based on the Atrac button next to it the blank just wedges into the hole and the front of the blank sits flush with the panel.

Taking all of that into account I think both the daystars and the toyota switches will fit. I am going to tear into it over the weekend and will have a definite answer for both sets of switches early next week.

The Daystars are the same Carling switches sold by OTTRAW.
They will fit the panel to the left of the wheel but will be too tall for the lower panel.

OK - Doing install right now and there is no way that the Daystars or the Toyota switches that I bought will fit under the AC controls unless I hack the hell out of the panel. So I have bit the bullet and purchased two of the expensive Tundra switches. No matter what happens I will make those Tundra switches fit when I get them. Of course I will update thread with results.

And for those of you that already told me so - I am hardheaded and stubborn and had to see for myself. I thank you all for your input.
