How's the oil level in the diff? Hopefully it didn't leak enough out to where it's not at the seal anymore. I ran my old Chevy with a leak seal for almost 20k miles, never went out and only lost a tiny bit of oil in that amount of mileage.

Ran my ranger with milky fluid for nearly 50k with a leaking pinion seal. Then it stopped because the fluid was too low. That repair was my selling point to get this baybeh

Once you notice that the diff is starting to get hot. its time to add a bit more. Tell tale signs are steam haha. I have a buddy who we noticed his diff smoking after he pulled in for about two weeks. I told him you better take a look at that he kept putting it off. Then it locked up going down the highway.

Mine was pretty feaking hot. Right before I traded it in it was screaming. I'll have to post the vid of the play I had in the pinion.

Dude, this radio's sweet. I just put one in my Rav4 and helped my Dad install one in his 01 Taco with a backup camera. We bought this camera: Pyle PLCM18BC License Plate Mount Rear View Backup Color Camera

I don't see why you'll need the male to 2 female antenna connector unless your car has two antennas (?), but I can tell you that I didn't need any sort of adapter for the FM radio for the Rav4 or Taco installations.

The wiring harness is what you'll plug into the truck's wiring harness that just plugs into the back of the OEM radio (see my photos below). On one end of the scosche harness you'll have the matching connector that plugs into said wiring harness above and on the other end it's just bare wires. You'll connect those wires up to their respective connections on the wiring harness that Pioneer provides you to plug into your new radio. This makes it so you don't have to cut out the old wiring harness to connect the new radio and makes re-installing the original Toyota radio a breeze if you ever sell the car but want to keep your new radio.

Truck's radio harnesses. The harnesses from Scosche plug into these.

    Connector for rear speakers
    [IMG]

The Scosche harness basically mimics the connectors on the right side of the back of the radio. The connector on the left of the radio had nothing plugged into it so I dunno what it was for unless if was for a cd changer or something.

Thanks for the info. I like the way the head unit looks in your car. Not sure which one that is. I like the way the unit is not recessed like the way it'll look on my 4Runner.

No problem. Hope it helps. It's the same radio, AVH-P2400BT. The position of the radio on the dash in my Rav4 was one of my main reason's for wanting a radio like this one. I would've put one in my 98 Taco too if the radio wasn't so blasted low on the dash. Recessed or not, you're gonna love it!

Yeah, I wanted to get a new head unit almost instantly. I cannot stand using the FM transmitter when listening to MP3.

I had an FM transmitter in other parts of the country and they worked great! Once I moved to Boston (or traveling through most large cities), it goes to crap. I've got one of those USASpec Ipod Adapters now and it's by far one of the best mods I've done to my truck.

We could! I think we can work something out.

You need to get the pioneer iPod cable. It's kinda pricey but totally worth it! I routed my cable to the cubby under the AC panel. That way my iPod is out of sight, out of mind, and there aren't extra cables laying around!

I would have done something similar to that but I wanted a back up camera, too.

I don't have an iPod/iPhone and will stream my music via bluetooth. Let me know when you have time.

Bluetooth streaming is kind of a bitch.... It RARELY worked for me with my blackberry. It wouldn't sync. Now I'm having issues with phone calls on my radio. It sounds good for the first 2 minutes, then the quality goes to shit, then it comes back! I just don't use it anymore. Might try to reconfigure it.

I'd suggest an aux cable hidden in that cubby then. Audio is incredible that way. And when you hide the cable, it isn't in your way and hanging out from the front of your HU

Now are you sure that radio is compatible with the JBL synthesis package?

Are you using your phone for music? If so you have a aux port right on the front of that h/u . So just buy the right cable and plug it in . Done deal .
