Ok so I have a 2009 Tacoma white sport with a 3 inch ultimate lift suspension kit with 33 toyo open country tires. 17 pro comp rims. Truck has all the trimmings. I was offered 22,000 from the dealer for a trade in. To get a 2013 same style. And can keep the lift kit from the old truck. And add a supercharger to the 2013. The thing I want to hear opinions about is. 3 inch verse 6 inch. And what would you do if you where in my position? Help me make my mine up.. I only use the truck in the summer to tow a boat, mainly use it during the winter when I travel. That's when I have the 33's on the truck. I also get to strip the truck clean of all my extras to put n the 2013.
    Thanks

Think he meant go with the 3 inch.. I just have seen a lot of trucks and the 6 inch looks easier in all aspects of the truck. But people say in the long run you get more problems. And as easier I mean no cutting or clearance problems. I love the 3 inch height and think its a good height for towing the boat. Maybe if there was a 1 inch body spacer lift I would add that so I don't have to cut the new truck. And maybe add the air bags to the full leaf package in the rear to give it a little more clearance..what you think?.

For what you have said the intended use of the truck is, your lift is for looks, and looks alone. So I guess it boils down to which you like the look of better. Personally, I think lifts over 4" start looking rediculous, but thats my opinion, nothing more. Fact though, is that lifted trucks become less stable the higher they get, and towing and winter are two times I wouldn't want that.

Ok I do go off road but its in the winter. It's not for pure off roading. The lift is just so I can go anywhere. What about the body lift on top of my 3 inch lift. Some of the problem is that ultimate lift says that there lift fits 33's but it doesn't. If I had a body lift I could lower the front coils so there not topped out.

I have the 3 inch on my 09. I had to cut the front bumper. I'm just trying to find a solution to that for the new 2013. I would rather not cut. So was wondering if I put my 3 inch lift on and ideally a 1 inch body lift so I don't have to cut. The ride is already different with the 5100's and the full leaf package in the rear. I agree with stacking.. It just makes sense.
