    i got one from fry's, cobra for 50 and the magnet antenna for 20, 05 prerunner has the cobra cb.

    Meh.. i just want it to work. I dont need anything tooooo fancy. Just as long as it works and won't break/rust, then i'm set!

    I actually wanted to re-do my grill but, I'm saving that for mod day and I'm looking for a hand held cb radio! I found some online, but I rather just go pick one up at the store. I found an adapter that will make my factory antenna work with a cb radio!!! so no extra antenna needed!!!

    I just checked and for the hand held one's they have it for 45 which is a good deal! yea, the antenna adapter thing sucks but I rather that then adding another antenna. Thanks for the info I'm buying a cb before the meet for sure. Haha this thread is getting derailed into a cb radio one. I'm getting tires as well! ko's

    I dont like the magnetic mount it does scratch up top but one day i will put a clear a bra piece up there to prevent the scratching. So hope to see you guys at the meet.

    Yah, ive used them in the past.. put it out the back window, or through the door frame.. They work great. The adapters dont work becuase our attenas arent long enough for the CB signal

    Well I'm going to be using the hand held cb. Does the hand held use an external antenna because It his this chep-O rubber antenna on it. it should do with the chep-O ant no?

    v8 swapped yota. dyno tuned @ 400hp
    modified total chaos uppers and lowers... king coilovers, deaver leafs, full cage, 351w motor swap, etc..
    if you are all within close range then the hand held will be fine. and to get the roof mount to stop scratching i suggest gluing a peice of thick felt to the bottom of the magnet. that way it will hold on like a mother fucker and wont scratch your pretty paint job.

    I've alwasy just thrown a dish rag or something underneith it. Solves the problem. Those magnets are damn strong
