The engine in the FRS is the Subaru boxer engine
Most people don't know it but Toyota is slowly buying out subaru

 

yeah i know the front fenders on the FR-S say Subaru on them. i saw that when i was looking at one at toyota of knoxville.

 

What's a s200?? I'm a big Subaru fan and the brz is a pretty nice car, u can order it with full leather interior, heated seats, navigation, all that stuff. But I would probably get the frs simply because its literally sold by Toyota. Lol I'm glad they teamed up with Subaru on this car too. Hopefully will make their sports cars a little more reliable. My buddy has a 04 sti and its a badass car but he's also been through 3 motors between his last sti and his current one and he babies that thing. But I love those boxer motors. They make a shit load of torque for their displacement.

 

So sorry to change the subject, what's a good CB radio to get? And any input on a good set of sliders? Also Gideon and Levi, how much were your bumpers?

 

I don't know about the CB, but I love my sliders from Shrockworks... The only problem is, it will take 3 months for you to get them once you order! If you don't mind waiting, they are definitely worth it. What bumper are you looking at? Front or rear?

cobra are good. i want the cobra 29lx or what ever. it’s a full size, but i will be using my CB on road trips so i want to have some rang on it. and it’s more $$$ you can get cheaper cobra’s, if tuned right the cheaper ones should get you like 3 miles if you just going to use it at meets and off road thats the way to go.

i would like more than 3 miles of rang on the road so i’m getting a much better cb.

 

Bumper was 855 and I just ordered sliders from billy (bruteforce) for 375 as for cb radios I'm clueless haha and I'd highly suggest bamf lca skids even though I didn't have a good experience with him. Part of another reason I didn't order my sliders through him

 

Yeah the front was $855 shipped and the rear was like $620. And I ordered BAMF sliders so I can give u input on those in a few months. Lol I know trail gears makes sliders made out of the same pipe but for half the price.

 

I have the cobra 75-whatever handheld with an external speaker and amp. I like the setup pretty well, it saves you from having to find a place to mount the radio itself since it's mostly integrated into the handset.

I have Stubbs weld-on sliders from stubbs welding, the HD-SKO's. They were 350ish + shipping, and I'm really happy with them. He shipped them fast, too.

 

My rear bumper from Billy was like 685 shipped...

 

I got a cobra 25weather cd fits in the side box works great about 8 miles tuned.

Evo10 are junk. Lose oil pressure at high rpm and chunk motors. Local tuning company went through 3 motors in 10k just dyno pulling them.

240sx suspension is garbage.

WRX like chunking motors too. Outside of gideons buddy I know of two other WRX that need or needed motors. F that.

Out of all the zipperhead cars, I would build an is300 or Volvo c30

Had an EVO 9 MR for a couple of years. Miss that car... But they have changed it up a lot with the 10 and the motor isn't as proven. Heard mixed reviews. I would get a 9 again, but they still bring a pretty penny if the are in great shape with low miles.
