I just called 2 local places to find shotgun shells and they're all sold out... I was just looking for a couple boxes to go shooting with but I guess people are hoarding all sorts of ammo, not just AR.

Man that is a deal, you could prob get 3-3500.00, if a ban is passed.

It is so refreshing to see reasonable people have a reasonable conversation with all the mud slinging going on. Thank you!

I'm sure this is happening everywhere. I work about a block from the major gun store in town. Tuesday morning I walked over to buy 3 more 30 rd magazines for my AR. There was a large box of aluminum ones for $14 each. I prefer poly ones. They had hundreds on the wall. I picked up 3 Magpuls for $17 ea.

On Wednesday my friend went to Cabelas and Sportsmans Warehouse and both were out of EVERYTHING related to ARs. Yesterday (Thursday) we both walked over to the local gun store because he wanted some magazines like mine. There were no more in the $14 box. They had about 200 Magpuls left and people were grabbing them like crazy. He grabbed 2 and they were now marked $29 ea and not $17 like 2 days earlier. I then thought that I would buy one more even though they were pricey. I looked and they were all gone. They were on the counter being remarked to $39 ea. right in front of us. My friend hadn't even paid for his $29 ones yet and the price went up $10. People were still grabbing them up. The store was limiting 3 per customer. I went back in the afternoon and EVERYTHING AR related was gone including all guns, ammo, grips, etc.

This is true gun control. You can't buy an AR15 or anything related to it in Salt Lake City. Everyone is out of stock.

I was a little surprised also. I didn't expect to find any ammo an AR takes but shot shells?? Oh well... I'll swing by another place on the way home and hopefully I can pick up a couple boxes.

So yes, everywhere online is sold out.... but say you order while they are on backorder. It says 5-6 weeks to ship. Soo would you still get the magazines before any kind of ban would be applied? Also, if a ban were applied, since you bought them before, wouldnt the company have an obligation to still get the product to you?

I said generally, that gives me enough lateral motion to encompass the growing number of outlayers :D

I would think it depends on the language of whatever ban the communist politicians come up with. If it's nothing more than a reinstate of the 1994 ban then it's based on the date of manufacture and not sale. If the manufacture of the 30 round magazine can build it before the ban is approved, they can sell it to you.

On the other hand, Obama and Biden are exponentially more anti-freedom and socialist then Clinton was. I wouldn't put it past them to blow off the constitution and try implement a gun grab.
