I just installed the Pioneer X940bt with the Metra install kit into my 2013 Double Cab TRD. I used the following parts:

    GEX-P920XM XM Adapter
    CD-IU51V Ipod cable
    95-8235CHG Dash Kit
70-1761 Metra Toyota 87-Up wire harness
40-LX10 Antenna Kit (Did not work had to redo harness)
Access Steering wheel control AWSC (Need Metra Harness AX-TOY28SWC for 2013)
Did the parking brake hack with the harness tool.

All works very weel and the sound from the stock speakers is much better considering they are non JBL. I was very pleasantly surprised by this.

All in from Amazon $690.00 and a couple of hours over the weekend.

Couple of things I learned -

1- The AWSC harness is different from the 2012 and previous models
2- The steering controls work perfectly except blue tooth which do stereo channels also now (No big deal)
3- The antenna harnees was off for some reason (Could be build date) but you can remove both harnesses and pulg metal into metal and wrap it with tough electrical tape.
(Works perfectly if not better for some reason, getting clearer stations??)
4- Nav and XM antennas in the corners of the dash and both work flawlessly
5- Cut the center of the dash behind radio for extra wiring and install room. Does nothing to dash strength or integrity and gave me a much easier install with ability to pull harness way out further for clearance for work.

Over all very happy and will post some pics later. The Panasonic stock touch screen sound was terrible as were the ipod controls. This is 100% better sounding and has XM and Nav for a fraction of factory options which I did not want to spend money on.

I recently did this whole install -

    Ottonavi Deck
Alpine MRP-M500 Mono Amplifier mounted under the drivers seat
Alpine MRP-F300 Four Channel Amplifier mounted under the passenger seat
Focal Polyglass 165VR Components in the front
Focal Access 165A1 in the rear
JL Audio 10W0v3-4 in a 10" Sealed *********.com box behind the drivers side rear seat

The install is very stealth! I love it. I've used these amps in 3 trucks at this point. They are bulletproof.

It's a decent deck, but it was a pain in the ass... There's barely enough room to fit the wires behind the deck, so everytime I have to take it out for any reason I end up losing a wire and having to figure stuff out...
I'd recommend it only if you want to retain the stock look. My DVD currently doesnt work because I knocked a wire loose or something... still trying to figure that out. Other than that it's a good deck

That wouldn't be anything new to me. All of my radios seem to end up with a ton of wiring with converters, relays, etc...

It's a great unit for sure! I have the 930 with the 940 firmware flashed to it, so it's basically a 940 now  But these units can put 50 watts out on each of the 4 channels, and the stock non JBL door speakers are rated at I think 20 watts or something stupid like that. Throw some decent doors speakers in there and it'll REALLY come to life! I just put some Rockford Fosgate Punch series in mine, 6x9's in the front and 5.25's in the rear, and it KICKS (with a little help from a Kicker CVT 10" behind the rear seat :D but even with the sub turned off, it makes the stock system sound like a pair of cheap headphones!)

Just installed the Kenwood ddx-419 yesterday with the newest Metra kit using the stock metal brackets fits perfectly. Only issue is that the emergency lights switch gets stuck, need to dremel the surround a little. Found the headunit new for $250 shipped.

That's my setup exactly. I got some rattles from it after a couple months. Here's how I fixed that:

Love the setup though so far. No complaints. Get a USB stick and flash the latest firmware on it.

Hopefully none come. It all seems pretty snug in there and I'm loving the headunit for the price. Sounds so much louder and nicer than factory. It was really holding back the rest of my system.

Picked up this Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD from a member on here today. Everything else is stock and I probably won't change it for a while. Sounds a lot better than the stock unit and now I can use my ipod a lot easier so I'm pretty happy.

that should come out neat :) keep us updated on how that turns out!

if I could could find a dock for my phone that would allow me to use it with a case, I'd consider a permanent mount my my Taco, but I'm not having a phone without a case...

Hasthis been the problem since you installed it? Or did it just happen?
Check the antenna wire, make sure it's plugged in or didn't come out during the install.
