Does anyone have a short bed Tacoma with a truck box/chest? If so, post some pics.

A friend recommended going with ATV boxes since our beds are so narrow. I measured 42" and some change between the fenders in the bed, and about 18" up to the bed rails. I don't really want a box that goes over the rails. I just need to put a floor jack and a few other items in there. Post some pics!

Here are some lower priced ones I've been looking at...

    DeeZee M207 (for ATV's) 35L x 12W x 12.5H
    [IMG]

    DeeZee DZ8537B (trucks) 37.12L x 19W x 16H
    [IMG]

    Deflecta-Shield 288271 (ATV's) 35.5L x 14.75W x 15H
    [IMG]

    UWS 42" TBC-42-W-BLK (trucks) 42L x 20W x 18H
    [IMG]

    And then there's a 36" UWS TBC-36-W-BLK that looks exactly like the above picture. 36L x 20W x 17.25H for about $80 less.

I don't know if I can justify spending more than $250 for a truck box for my Tacoma when my fullsize F150 box cost less than $200.

I came up through the bottom with studs just to make it easy to take in and out.

    Hello Forum,

I hope these help. These pics are so you can see how the box sits compared to the top of the bed walls:

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm going to go with the Deflecta-Shield since it isn't as deep (14.75") and won't take up as much bed space. I still need to do a little research on the quality of it. I mainly wanted something to put a floor jack, some tools, jumper cables, and maybe a tarp in. I will get it as soon as the wife approves of my budget request. :)
