There is no advantage to them , unlike on 1st gens , installing them on 2nd gens only rotates the diff and results in almost no reduction in CV angles

i was worried about my CV angles, but i can always lower my diff down an inch again to compensate for a 3/4" lift. I had the diff drop on there earlier, and it lowered my CV angles. As I lower the diff an inch, i can see the CVs drop, so the kit is definitely doing something on my 2nd Gen.

I removed the diff drop, because it banged into something while I was off-roading. The OEM skid plate gave way like a tin can and the bottom ring plate thing of one of the diff mounts dented up on the edge. I was pretty lucky, because there was no major damage.

Oz, the diff drop may not do a considerable amount, but definitely see the difference when I use it. the reason a lot of people are against it, is because it places the mounts lower than the brackets that run along the sides of them and into harm's way. Relentless fabrication makes a skid plate that will accomodate the drop, so that will take care of my situation.

An inch drop lowers the CVs at least half an inch. Makes a difference if i'm gonna add another 3/4" lift

Thanks OZ...that one pic really shows the placement of the axels. I thought they were closer to the center of the diff, but they're almost at the very rear. Watching the CVs rotate forward from underneath as I dropped the diff must have given me the illusion of the CVs lowering a substantial amount. I stand corrected.

    I only measured driver side.

Dakar leaf pack with 3rd leaf from top removed (per ARB): Rear Driver 23 3/8th

And knowing people usually wnat the front when they ask for the back and the back when they ask for the front:

    Front set up:
    OME 885 with .25" top spacer (not the .5") = 23 7/16

So for those of us not very strong with fractions... I am 1/16th of an inch lower in the rear.
