I'm arguing with a kid that thinks his stock Honda civic can drive in it.

Normally I hate snow, but once or twice a year I look forward to a good storm so I can go play in it. A couple years ago when we actually had a winter with a good storm, I took a trip to Micro Center in Boston to get computer parts, people thought I was crazy. I thought it was nice having an unplowed highway all to myself. (495)

    Installed CB last night:

Ran coax along firewall, behind passenger side kick panel, under door sill plate. From there there was enough room to shove it under the rear pass side panel, up under the junk catcher, and then through the hole adjacent to the rear pass seat belt anchor point into the tire iron cubby. Then out the grommet in the rear of the cab, up through the cavity in the front pass. side corner of the bed to up under the pass side bed rail. Under the bed rail there are a bunch of equally spaced holes on the lower layer of sheet metal. I threaded some zip ties between them so the coax is hidden up under the bed rail. :

One of the sheet metal holes:

Just waiting on my antenna mount which will go in the rear pass side corner over the tie down cleat.

Looks good dude. Seems like you made the wires tucked in so you can't see them. That's the best way to do it. I need a cb now. Your giving me the ich to want to buy one and mount it:D

Miguel, the new truck looks nice, congrats! Sorry but you 1st Gen guys will be hard pressed to get me to make the switch. Too much into the truck to get rid of it even if I did want to.

Haven't tried the functionality of it, but it fits really nicely. I like that for this one the you can disconnect the handset portion(at the silver connector by the cupholder), so all your left with is the female end of the connector sticking out. The silver box you see just to the right of the trim piece below the center dash is the other hidden part to it. Can't see it unless you're down in the footwell.

Only thing I don't like is the way I wired it with an 18' coax it puts it at just the right length to get to the pass side rear. I would have preferred it on the drivers side rear, but it's location makes it really easy to access if I ever have to. I may just get a coupler and extension piece of coax eventually. But I like the way I have it, not cutting or drilling, besides the grommet, it's all ziptied.

Thank you mike :). And you could get rid of it. I put a good amount into my truck and I took it all off. Made money on the parts and the truck and everything worked out. Buy a white first gen:D. Buy one and never look back haha
