Mounting 30" LED bar behind grill

Anyone have any pics of a 30" bar behind the grill?

 

Not yet. Waiting for a warm up to tear into it. I can't wait to get my grillcraft put in with light in back

i have 2 stacked 21" behind my grill, i can snap a picture tomorrow so you can see how a 30" may or may not fit.

 

Eric - Great. Please post the picture. And did you wire yours up to your headlight wires? Would you explain how you hooked yours up? Thanks.

You hook these up like you're hooking up a set of foglights, don't touch the headlight wiring. Leave them alone.

I too have a 21" from BlitzPro mounted with a BAMF bracket:

Eric - I want to wire mine up simply like that (but no switch). I want them to come on when I turn on my headlights. Any suggestions how I wire the LEDs to work this way? Thanks.

 

i would advise against that, as some state laws do not allow for "off road" or auxiliary lights to be on while driving on a public road.

but to safely do it, i am not sure, as it may overload the headlight switch or something.

 

Use a relay that is triggered by say your highbeams. When you flick highbeams on the relay is closed and your leds come on. Relay carries load highbeams just supply enough power to close a relay which is very little. You can also run the relay through a 3 way switch and your highbeams. One position the leds come on with highbeams. 2nd position they do not come on at all. 3rd position they come on regardless of headlights on or not or truck on or not.
