I started the afternoon making passes through a deep double dip in the road at 35 mph to get a baseline for before and after performance of my stock rear springs/shocks on my '12 single cab 4x vs. Icon's progressive add-a-leaf kit and Fox 2.0's. What a difference! The stock stuff bottomed out and had moderate after-bounce. The Fox-Icon setup was plush. I mean night and day difference. I know a lot of you have SERIOUS off-road suspension which would put this stuff to shame, but for a budget mod., I'm very happy. I gained 2" of lift with this combo. The stock springs which had only 11K on them had a negative arc in them. Why? I don't know. Are they supposed to be that way? When I wheel I go rather slowly so I don't think I pounded the arc out? Anyway, here's the pics before and after.......

Awesome! You now have very respectable rear suspension. Most people on here have 5100's on the back which aren't anything like what the fox's are from what I've heard.

What front suspension do you have?

Did you need extended brake lines to gap the 2 inches of lift?

Nice. I have a similar setup but with the extended travel piggyback shock. I got exactly 2" of lift too. I might put the overload back in tho cause I want the rear a little higher.
What are you running up front?

The Fox is what helps with the "after bounce," the aal is what would help with keeping him from bottoming out.

I've talked to my dealership about getting Fox mid-travel and the said that I wouldn't need the aal unless I was planning on hauling heavy things while I was off road. Not sure if aal is important or not now

The brake lines had enough length. The photos show the lines while the shock is at full extension (axle hanging from the springs without support). I'm fishing up my plate bumper tomorrow (see pic), then I'll do the front suspension (it's still stock w. leveling kit). I'm going to make my own uppers and lowers. The off road shop next door to my shop will loan me a set (I won't mention the brand, but you would know them) to copy. Here's a question I hope one of you fab guys might know the answer to: If I extend the uppers and lowers 1" instead of 2" like a typ. long travel kit, will the front drive shafts be too short? If so, I'll stick with the stock lenghts.
