Cafe Press Does Not Back Their Products

    Bought a license plate cover from Cafe Press as I had made other purchases through them and had been happy with the result. What I received was a generic license cover with a vinyl printed sticker on it. For the price I was not unhappy and put them on rather than the advertising for the stealership. It has been just 5 months and the printing on the plate has started to peel. I contacted Cafe Press and the best they would offer is 20% on my next purchase. If I want 20% off defective merchandise I will shop at K-Mart or Wal-Mart.

    Well since I posted yesterday, I have received and returned one email and talked to them on the phone. Their answer is that it is over 30 days and you get what you paid for.

    Don't buy from Cafe Press they have lousy customer service and won't back their products.

    I paid $15.00 per license plate cover. One is just fine the other has started to peel. What they offered was $3.00 off a new plate. I am just going to clean up the plate cover and make a new one myself. At least my vinyl supplier guarantees the vinyl for 3 years exposure and not 5 months.

    I guess at $15 it is one of those you get what you pay for things? Too bad at least it was only $15. Oh and hashtagging outside of twitter is annoying.

    You actually can get a number of quality made license plate covers for that price through auto parts catalogs. They just didn't have what I wanted.

    I would normally agree with you about the hastags, however I have been told from a reliable source that reputation companies that search out bad publicity for their clients start with a hashtag search. Since I want them to do what is right I have added it so that it will be caught. Of course I am also posting it on all of the other social media that I subscribe to plus every list serve and forum I am part of.
