bilstine 5100 shocks in front, bilstine 5150s in rear, ome 3inch lift springs in rear, ome 2.5inch lift springs in front. 265/75/16 snow tires till my 285/75/16s get in. 2 ten inch custom subs in my custom box, ran by a hifonics 2400d amp. breather tubes to front and rear diff to keep from sucking in water. building a tube bumper with my brother right now to hold a warn vr8000 winch.
and for all of you contemplating getting the TRD, its pointless. its basicly the same pipe as stock, and they use the same tech as magnaflow. save the money and just get a magnaflow muff and get a weld on tip, save the money for something more productive like gas for offroading.

Ive relized our small displacement V6s don't sound that great. My buddy at school has a ZR2 S10 with the 4.3, he thinks it has a flowmaster 40 on it, it sounds so sexy. I swear it sounds just like a V8 when he starts it up and a lower rpm.

    Wish mine sounded that good:(

The install is simple. It can be annoying trying to get it under the truck TAPE UP THE TAIL PIPE! Or you will scratch the shit out of the TRD exhaust and your paint. And tape the tail pipe of your old exhaust before you take it out. I would say it took 45 minutes to install.

I picked up a TRD Cat-back on craigslist for $40! The install was simple and it's got a nice sound. Nothing too loud, just enough to hear it when you step on it.

Magnaflow 18" muffler with stock piping. I plan to get an oval tip on it.

Sound is nice and deep, exactly what I was hoping for. 500 miles later and it's much deeper and a bit louder than when I first installed it. Gets better every time I drive. I love the growl I get on start up.

Glad to hear it gets a little louder once it breaks in, I was slightly disappointed when I first fired it up. Is yours the offset in, center out?

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
I'm going down the same road. A Magnaflow muffler will be here in a few days. The mandrel bent stock pipes are plenty big enough for the slow turning 2.7. Should sound really neato with the header. :)

Sorry I didnt see this before. Mine is center in offset out.

A month after install I cant even remember how my truck was stock. The Magnaflow sounds soo good without drawing too much attention. If I could do it over again Id do it the same way.

I welded in an Aeroturbine 2525 in place of the stock muffler and dumped it before the axle. It's been on for about a year now. I love the sound. No drone. You hear the exhaust note when you're cruising a little, but put your foot down and it sounds mean!

I love the stainless that is magnaflow along with their sound. I've always loved flowmaster 40s. But i'll probably end up with a TRD because of powertrain warranties.

question. Im looking at getting an flow master exhaust but I was wondering if the Cat-back System - Dual Side Exit - American Thunder part # 17432 for the 2012 Tacoma would fit my 2013 Tacoma. The flow master system for the 2013 Tacoma part is #817614. I don't see the reason to pay an extra $100 dollars for a system.
