    Hey you guys.

I haven't posted on here for while, but after having my Tacoma for about a year I have come into a problem that has become a... pain in the butt.

My Tacoma is a 2012 Doublecab V6 Prerunner. I am 6'2" 190 lbs, 24 years old and have longer legs and arms. For the most part, ever since I bought this truck I CAN NOT find a seating position that lasts for more than 2 days and it is ANNOYING! Either the legs are too far back, which leads to my arms being too far forward and they become fatigue because I feel like I am doing the Macarena dance. So then I decide to move my seat up. My arms are then comfortable (or at least more than what they were), but then my legs get so scrunched up that all of my weight is being pressed directly on to my tail bone. This has caused, not pain, but a good a mount of discomfort right on my tailbone and I can feel it throbbing when I go to sleep.

I wish the wheel telescope out more than the 1 inch it does and/or if the seats had the adjustment to make the front higher or back lower to support my thighs.

Lately I have been making 2 hours trips to Naples, FL about every other week and this has become a problem. Last time my tailbone was driving me nuts for 5 days after that trip. Plus, my prospective new job may now be an hour one way a day and an hour back drive.

In short (or if you decided to skip) down to just this question, has any one else been finding discomfort with these Tacoma seats? Because this is getting VERY ANNOYING and I shouldn't spend 24k on something that does this.

I have even started toying with the idea of getting a new vehicle because this is not acceptable.

    THANKS TACOMA WORLD! ;)

Do you have a TRD Taco? The seats are much better in those. I have an Sr5 and hate the seats too. Not enough to lose a few grand in a trade but I do tell others looking to make sure they get TRD.

No I do not have the TRD. I did not think there would be that much of a difference, but I am curious to check them out. The truck was listed for $29,500 at the dealership and I bought it for $24,500 so that is not working in the trucks favor.

The "DAMN-IT TOYOTA WHY DIDN'T YOU ADD THIS ON A 30k TRUCK LIST":
    1. ONE SINGLE KEY FOB.
    2. SEATS THAT ADJUST, because on the Chevy Cruze's GOD DAMN PASSENGER that seat has more adjustments than the TACO's driver seat.

    Thanks for the reply man!

My back doesn't hurt at all, just the tail-bone. And I can't afford to have anything increase the ride height because I already feel like I am driving a Miata when I am sitting upright lol.

    If you don't have a TRD then you don't have a prerunner. Just a 2wd SR5

You wouldn't think there would be much of a difference but there is. To me at least. My SR5 feels like sitting on two pieces of plywood. It's my biggest gripe about the SR5.

It says PreRunner on the back of my truck? But it also says SR5. Sorry my lingo is off.

My tailbone was hurting as well. After a 600mile drive I couldn't feel my legs/ass. It was because my ass was being eating by the gap where the back meets the seat. This pushed me forward a bit and it totally helped. Had nothing to do with my actual back hurting at all.

You can find these on Amazon for around 10$ for a pair. Worth a shot.

The cab configuration has nothing to do with it. Although there are no TRD RCs

Never seen a 2WD DCSB Prerunner. Wouldn't that make it a 5 lug DCSB? I am fairly certain those don't exist.

Prerunner just means 2WD with a 4x4 suspension. Can get a TRD OR or TRD Sport variant from there.

    Prerunner=2wd.

Look at half (probably more than half) of the LT DCSB trucks on this site. They are Prerunners

 yes I know what a prerunner is.. its a 2wd TRD.. if you don't have TRD then you aren't considered a prerunner just a 2wd truck
