New to all this- need help deciding what is the best audio system- and brand names for a Tacoma? Would like Wifi would be great, GPS and satellite ready-also ability to hook up to steering wheel buttons.
Anyone have experience with Crutchfield... Kenwood?http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DNN770H/Kenwood-DNN770HD.html

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Welcome to TW. Top choice in DVD/Navigation units in no particular orders are Kenwood Alpine and Pioneer. Can't go wrong with either one. The Concept R is more of a factory look. Me personally I like the aftermarket look if that makes sense. That's like buying wheels and tires but want a factory look. Not my cup of tea. Pick something with Navigation, USB, Sirius/XM, good pre out voltage and you are golden...most stuff like steering wheel control requires a hardness/module and other things you need are wiring harness, dash kit. I would also consider new speakers as your stock will sound ok but not great. Also if you want something small and powerful to power the new speakers I would consider the Alpine KTP-445 Power Pack.

I'm about to order this kenwood...

A set of Polk MM6501 components for the front.

A set of polk MM651 for the back.

    A MM1040DVC Sub

    http://www.polkaudio.com/products/mm1040dvc

And power it all with this amp.

I hope to start install by next week.

I'm not really all that impressed by having wifi capabilities in the HU and GPS has to be updated to be worth anything. I can use my Iphone for all of that and save half the cost. I had always ran Alpine in everything before but Alpine just isn't impressing me anymore with their products. Kenwood seems to be the one now.

There is nothing specific about a tacoma that it requires certain audio hardware vs another vehicle. I recommend learning a bit about stereo systems and upgrades to help you out. Check out the stickies at the top of the forum there is a ton of information up there

That amp is a little weak on the sub channel for the sub you are going to use isn't it?

Welcome to TW, best is a relative term and varies from person to person. Pick one that has everything you need, read some reviews and buy what you want.
