Thanks! Are those DC 33's giving you any rub w/ 3" of lift?

Yup. I've done the cab mount chop and a decent amount of fender trimming and I still rub from time to time. Your bumper should clear up a bunch of problems that I am having in the front though. I am not running the DCs anymore as of a week ago, but my new Dynapros rub as well, same size. They are actually for sale if you're interested :)

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not going much over 32" until I go long travel or SAS... And that's years down the road.

If you do pick up the AP Apex it'll eliminate a lot of issues on the front side of the fenders. Sick approach on that bumper.

If I do end up getting a HC bumper... I think I am gonna get a custom Brute Force Fab hybrid bumper. I really like the look of them, but I also have some ideas for improvement. Not super high on my to-do list currently though.

Apex was my best option off the shelf, and I got in on the group buy so I had to pull the trigger.

Thanks! Certainly an expensive work in progress :)

I got the P rated tires knowing that these first couple of years I would be mostly on pavement while I built up the truck. They've done well in the snow, and they are wearing evenly and as expected running at 36psi. I got rid of the spare, and rotating all 5 every 10k. I expect I'll get 50k+ out of them.

BAMF IFS skids came in and I decided to Linex them. Linex guys forgot to get them done over the weekend so they coated them free of charge :D

Shoutout to JLee at BAMF. Check them out for the newest hotness!

BAMF rules, that was a sick group buy. Afraid I'll have to install the turd straps to do the tank skid.

I got a set of used 13mm (1/2") spacers, and they got my 1" of lift back. The numbers are posted earlier in this thread. So worth doing.

Another TW member sold his 2011 DCLB, and was selling a set of All-Pro sliders ( ) that needed paint. The price was right so I figured I would put in the elbow grease and rehab them, and resell to help fund my build.

Using a 30-gallon compressor and a Crafstman media blaster loaded with Black Beauty (http://www.blackbeautyabrasives.com/products/) I set about taking them back down to bare steel. I was working the compressor hard, but wanted to keep operating at 100psi to ensure I was really knocking off all of the rust.

I checked all the welds and they looked solid. The blasting media left a nice roughened patina on the sliders that I was happy to see, because I knew it would make a great surface for the self-etching primer.

Once the primer cured I got to work spraying the first coat of black Rustoleum enamel.

    yby8yvet_4a5a107ff35692c16ac8eadd5575dc6c597ed1f3.jpg

You can see it was going on really well. I let that coat cure for a couple days before I sprayed the second coat.

Change: Humidity got trapped under the primer and I wasn't happy with the durability of the rustoleum, so I'm reblasting them and sending them out for linex.

    Skids have been sold.

So I finally got them linexed.

The only bit of prep work you need to do for this install is to widen an existing hole in the LCA to accommodate the 3/8" carriage bolt. Seen below:

Hold the skid up, slide the bolts through, and tighten them up!
