    I have read a couple of articles that state the new engine will have 260 hp. 4runner has 270. Why not the 4runner engine?

    I read an article that the new tacoma is gona have a 1300hp cummins with twin superchargers and 6 turbos. Doesn't mean it's true.

    They put the 4Runner engine in originally but the A pillar started to overheat. Hence now it's 260.

    seems to work for Ford. A lot of people were plenty skeptical at first. I even heard GM ramped up production because they thought the Eco Boost would not sell.
