Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. If this is the wrong place please let me know.

I have a 2012 Tacoma Pre-Runner double cab with 15,000 miles. I have a high pitched noise that begins at 25mph and continues until a speed where wind/road noise blankets it. I have taped the windshield and front body seams, then test drove, to no avail. I have shifted from drive to neutral, and coasted, still the noise presists until you coast to a speed below 25mph. Another problem is squeaky brakes, it dosen't appear to be a convential brake noise and it comes and goes. I would appreciate any
advice, information or suggestions on these conditions.

There is a TSB for both of those issues. Rear Brake Squeak which they replace rear brake shoes and drums and 2 for wind noise one if the noise is coming from windshield which they reseal the windshield and if its coming from the front of the truck they have a new grill design and will install new front grill. I haven't had any of these done yet because i'm not having these issues yet but your dealer should fix you up, hope this helps.

    Brake squeak : T-SB-0236-12

    Wind noise Windshield : T-SB-0062-12

Front of Truck Wind Noise : T-SB-0058-12

I get a lot of road noise from the rear of the truck. I am thinking about some sound deadending material on the back wall of the cab.

I have 2013 and heard a high-pitched whistle around 40mph. The dealer just replaced my front grille last week and I haven't hear the sound yet.

I must be lucky- the only noise I get on my 2012 is from the grille, and it has to be in a strong crosswind at just the right angle. Wednesday built vehicles rule!:D

The only noise I get is from my mud tires. ;)

I couldn't hear wind noise if I wanted too lol.

    Yeah.
I get that same noise in a crosswind at about 70mph, so very rarely. Not sure what day mine was built.

I had the rear brake TSB done a little over a week ago, no noise yet but the jury is still out until they really break in.
