I know the basics of lifts and such but nothing more and i was wondering what would be the best way to lift my Tacoma. Its an amazing first truck but there is only one down side...its 2wd. Im trying to stay away from suspension lifts due to how much they cost and since im only 16 I dont have a ton of money to spend on this. But i would like to be able to fit 33' inch tires. This is mainly just for looks because its 2wd but ill occasionally take it off road. So what do you guys think is an afordable way to do this?

Spindle lift is the way to go for 2wd. Save your money and do it right the first time, avoid blocks and spacers, maybe a new leaf pack for the rear. If you can't justify spending that much you can go with 5100s with stock springs up front and a basic add a leaf for the rear.

Well im looking to spend around 2,500-3,000 for tries/rims/lift leaving around 500 to 1000 dollars for the lift. How much do spindle lifts usually run?

About $500-$600, but thats just the front with stock shocks/springs, and thats not installed, then another $400-$500 for new leaf springs for the rear. I think spindle lifts are 4", i don't know much about them because i am 4x4, but check out this thread

Just stick around and read more threads and you will figure out what is best for what you want. There is tons of info on the site, you just need to sort through all the BSing.

The suspension for 2005-2013 is all the same. The only difference that might make is it is probably time to replace the shocks and springs.
