I am looking to get a single 10" sub box from supercrewsound, but I cant decide on the sub.
After reading alot of reviews and forum posts, it seems I narrowed it down to the Image dynamics ID10d2 and the JL 10w1.

Does anyone have either one of these subs in a single box, if so let me know what you think of them.

I like low deep bass but I know it wont happen with the room i have to work with in by double cab, I just dont want to be disapointed. Im not trying to win any competitions or anything just want to get some deeper bass.

Also any thoughts on the best amp to use, i was thinking of the ID q600.1??

    Thanks

I have a box from SuperCrewSound and a JL 10w0. I'm pretty happy with it. Prior to my Tacoma, I had this sub in a ported box and it hit a harder. But it still hits hard enough for me. So I'm sure the 10w1 would be a little nicer. I'm using the JL XD300/1 amp to power it. I basically chose it because its a fairly physically small amp and puts out the RMS that makes my sub happy. Here's a couple pictures of my setup. Good luck with your decision.

I've got an IDQ10 that Mr Marv built a box for, and it has crazy bass. More bass than I get out of a much more expensive JL12w3 I run in my other car. The two systems aren't necessarily apples to apples, but imho you can't go wrong with getting the IDQ and having Marv build you a box for it.

Is your ID real clear or is real "boomy". I bought a Sundown SA-12 a while back and hated it because it was too boomy. Maybe it was because I was running 1400 rms to it. If I upgrade you. Double cab 2nd gen later on, I plan on putting in some kind of 10 and was thinking a ID or JL.

It sounds pretty clear to me. I'm running it 500W @ 2 Ohms. I listen to a lot of faster music like hard rock/metal/etc and each hit sounds pretty clear.

I had a JL Audio 10W0 in a very similar box and hated it...switched to a Kicker Comp R 10 and it pounds hard and low and can take more power

I have to agree with Tolian. I also have an IDQ10 in a Mr. Marv enclosure and i love it. At first i was worried that it was not going to be enough for me but i was wrong. I am running it off of a Alpine PDX-V9.

How did you get in touch with Mr. Marv? I searched around a bit and found a forum he was on but he hasnt posted in about a year and no contact info.

    Thanks!

I just ordered a 10" jl w0v3 , I was close to buying a image dynamics but the jl was alittle cheaper and will meet my needs .

On another note, is the plastic cover on the back of the JL w0 magnet removable ? I'm cutting it really close on my mounting depth...
