I am no professional or even close. I've installed a few HU's and speakers in my day, but not a thing on my Tacoma, so I have some questions was hoping you all could help.

Headunit is Pioneer AppRadio3 SPH-DA110. Has 2 2V preouts on the rear. One will be set to FRONT and one to SUB.

Amp will be JL Audio XD700/5. I plan on splitting the 1 set of RCA's for front left/right with two "Y" adapters, so I will lose fader from the HU, but can easily adjust it with sensitivity on the amp.

Subwoofer I want to do the JL Stealthbox for 2012+ tacoma with their 10" sub. I envision no issues with this, plug and play really with the 300W output on the XD700/5.

Where things get a bit tricky for me are the doors. Front doors I thought I would go with a set of JL C5-650 component separates. But they are 6 3/4" speakers, and the holes are 6 1/2". It seems that the adapters sold all around can do 6.5 to 6.75" no problem in the fronts with perhaps a tiny tiny bit of trimming of the adapter plate.

For the rears I was going between either the JL TR-650CXi or the JL C2-650X (a little higher end than the TR, but not sure I need it for the rears?). Once again, they are 6 3/4" in a 6 1/2" opening. I dont know if 6.75" speakers fit well in there? I dont want to have to cut up the actual door or the hole. I'd like to leave it so it can be easily reverted if ever need be. How can this be done properly?

What about speaker wire? I am no audiophile and have never been a "Buy Monster Cable" kind of guy for my house. I have no idea how much length is a good amount to get, and I have no idea what brand. Also, what about a power line to the amp, what gauge? What about a fuse? How about the ground, same gauge? What about the connector I use on the power/ground, some kind of gold plated thing I can screw on? All that I am not sure about.

How about steering wheel control? Will this be the way to go? Axxess ASWC-1

For mounting headunit I was thinking I should get the package from Crutchfield: Metra 95-8235CHG, Metra 40-LX11 Antenna Adapter, Metra 70-1761 Receiver Wiring Harness

You kind of limited yourself with the lack of Pre-outs on the deck, but it'll work fine.

For the rear speakers, in my opinion anything will work really. No need to drop a ton of money. I use them for rear fill and usually have them gained down well below any of the other speakers...just enough to be heard ya know.

Check out this thread for some great info

For the amp wiring, pick up a 4 gauge amp wiring kit. Also, you can get RCA's that have all 6 bound together and make install much easier, but since you are only running front and sub, just get a 4 channel RCA cable.

For the speaker adapters, check out my thread. Should be able to print out the pics and trace on wood, cut a speaker hole and install!

    Hope all that makes sense!

My second son is 12 days old so it is put off but I am gathering pieces to do my install soon!
